With the increasing demand for manufacturing excellence in the era of automation and digital transformation, training the next generation workforce for various positions in electronics manufacturing services (EMS) is critical. Providing access to technology can reduce the skills gap and ensure students have the strong foundations and training in place that will set them up for success.

Keysight Technologies and GIP-CEI- ESTI have partnered together to address this challenge, offering technical students, trainees, and technicians the opportunity to use the Keysight i3070 in-circuit test system (ICT). The i3070 ICT will enable users to experiment, learn, and develop their electronic manufacturing skills before entering the workforce.

Keysight’s i3070 ICT system is built on proven technology, enhancing test efficiency through time-tested software, hardware, and programmability to test high-density boards. The i3070 can also accommodate diverse printed circuit board assembly sizes and addresses applications such as IoT, 5G, automotive, and energy. The system is installed in the GIP-CEI- ESTI surface mount technology (SMT) line and will provide hands-on training, transforming vocational skills to help enhance support for the next generation. GIP-CEI- ESTI made the investment within the framework of the ‘Investment for the Future Program’ (PIA), a policy set up by French government in 2010 to provide finance for innovative projects that will promote technological and economic breakthroughs in the country.

We are excited to partner with Keysight, which marks a significant expansion of our academic certificate offerings.
